WHAT YOU’LL DO
Mini Bar Attendants are key contributors to the guest experience and play a vital role in creating memorable stays. This position is responsible for restocking and maintaining in room minibars while observing guest preferences and delivering attentive, discreet service. Mini Bar Attendants are detail oriented, dependable, and committed to upholding brand standards while ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction at all times. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Ensure each guest room minibar is fully stocked, clean, and accurately presented throughout the guest stay.
Conduct daily minibar inspections for assigned floors or sections.
Restock minibar items according to established par levels, brand standards, and product placement guidelines.
Rotate products properly and verify expiration dates prior to restocking.
Accurately record minibar consumption using handheld technology or the hotel operating system.
Post all consumed items to guest folios accurately and in real time.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for minibar items, replenishments, or special amenities.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when entering occupied guest rooms.
Ensure all minibar items are neatly arranged with labels facing forward and displayed per departmental standards.
Inspect minibar refrigeration units to ensure proper operation and correct temperature settings.
Report maintenance issues, missing equipment, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies immediately to the appropriate department.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary minibar cart, including bins, trays, and tools.
Verify storage room inventory levels and maintain sufficient stock to support daily operations.
Assist with weekly or month end inventory counts as assigned.
Follow all inventory control procedures to minimize loss, waste, and incorrect charges.
Maintain compliance with all safety, sanitation, food handling, and health regulations.
Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure seamless guest service.
Anticipate guest needs and respond with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
Consistently maintain a polished, professional appearance in accordance with grooming and uniform standards.
Adhere to all company, departmental, and hotel policies and procedures.
Perform opening and closing side duties as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and hotel operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years of experience in hospitality, minibar, or hotel operations in a high volume environment.
Previous cash handling experience required.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established standards and procedures.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage handling, sanitation, and service standards.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in occupied guest rooms.
Ability to work independently while efficiently managing assigned floors or sections.
Comfortable using handheld devices or hotel operating systems for inventory tracking and costing charges.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
Polished, professional appearance in accordance with departmental grooming standards.
PREFERRED
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Alcohol awareness and food safety certifications as required by local jurisdiction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work effectively under time constraints and meet established deadlines.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and balance as needed to perform job duties.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, sometimes in confined or crowded spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Fast-paced hotel environment with frequent movement between guest rooms and service areas.
Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, refrigerated units, and storage areas.
May be exposed to varying temperatures while servicing rooms, storage areas, or service corridors.
Requires working independently in guest room environments while coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and operations teams.
