Storti is hiring a Minor Leak Repair Mechanic. This role is responsible for performing inspection, repair work, integrity test, and re-light procedures along with other associated work on premises such as service line inspection and natural gas detector installation.

Compensation $30 per hour DOE

Company vehicle included!

Hours: Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday schedules available. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to inside gas leak calls that are identified as a result of a service line inspection or natural gas detector installation as directed


• Perform repairs on jurisdictional pipe (before the meter outlet) as directed by the Client


• Perform subsequent integrity test and relight as directed


• Perform follow up repairs and/or issuance of warning tags


• Supplement Client operational forces with follow up inspection for compliance adherence


• Provide notification and communication of all corrosion level 3 and 4 issues and AOCs according to Client direction


• Provide referral notification for construction and/or gas delivery services for additional needed work


• Acquire and replenish required equipment and materials to perform work assigned


• Follow all standards for GMI’s (proper use, maintenance, and monthly depot)


• Maintain effective relationships with Client operational leadership


• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED is required


• Minimum of 6 months employment with Storti Quality OR 2 years of Natural Gas meter work experience.


• Must possess Northeast Gas Association (NGA) operator qualifications


• OSHA 10-30 or HAZWOPER training is preferred


• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel and Adobe Acrobat


• Ability to learn new systems and technology as required by company and client


• Proficient with Microsoft Windows (browser)


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Ability to work independently and take initiative to perform tasks.


• Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy


• Ability to meet project deadlines

Additional

• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record 

Physical Demands

• Duties are performed primarily in an outdoor setting with exposure to changing weather conditions


• Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 30 pounds


• Position requires the ability to climb up and down ladders
