Come join our team!\n\nThis role may be filled as an Engineer Mission Assurance or Principal Engineer Mission Assurance.\n\nEssential Functions / Responsibilities:\n\n * Develop and implement program quality inspection plans\n\n * Work with the Engineering team to ensure that part requirements are correctly described and documented in the production work plans\n\n * Participate with corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in the improvement effort\n\n * Preparation of first article inspection packages for internal approval or presentation to the final customer\n\n * Processing of MRB nonconformances\n\n * Supports the Program, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams with data analytics for improvement processes\n\n * Conduct or support internal audits, process observations, and area assessments\n\n * Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for: Engineer Mission Assurance \n\n * Bachelor\u0027s in Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of Quality Engineering and/or Mission Assurance work experience; OR a Master\u2019s degree and 0 years of work experience\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n * Knowledge of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspections\n\n * Ability to travel at least 10%\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for: Principal Engineer Mission Assurance\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s in Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of Quality Engineering and/or Mission Assurance work experience; OR a Master\u2019s degree and 3 years of Quality Engineering and/or Mission Assurance work experience; OR PhD and 1 year of Quality Engineering and/or Mission Assurance work experience\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n * Knowledge of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspections\n\n * Ability to travel at least 10%\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Prior aircraft manufacturing experience\n\n * Ability to read and interpret GD\u0026T drawings\n\n * Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods\n\n * Knowledge of continuous improvement principles\n\n * Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools\n\n * Background in Composites\n\n\n\n\nWork schedule:\n\nMust be willing to work any shift\n\nOpening on A shift - 4/10 mornings\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
