Mission Integration Specialist, Embedded Combat Trainer (ECT)

OneArc builds the Embedded Collective Trainer (ECT), a kit-based training capability that turns a combat vehicle crew's own vehicle into a high-fidelity simulator. The ECT integrates a ruggedized compute kit and the VBS4 virtual environment directly with the vehicle's mission systems, letting drivers, gunners, and commanders train together in the motor pool on the displays they fight with—without ammunition, fuel, or range time.

The Program

OneArc is supporting the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas, as part of the Army's Transformation in Contact (TiC) initiative. Over a 13-month period of performance (1 September 2026 to 30 September 2027, with potential for follow-on work),

OneArc will install, operate, and sustain ECT kits across Bradley platoons (M2A3/4 vehicles plus spares) of an armored brigade combat team, deliver new equipment training to crews, and provide embedded on-site support through gunnery densities and field training events. The kits run the VBS4 virtual environment and the Bradley Conduct of Fires Training (BCOFT) standalone application.

About the Role

The Mission Integration Specialist (MIS) is OneArc's technical presence with the supported unit. The MIS installs and validates ECT kits on Bradley Fighting Vehicles, trains crews and master gunners, keeps the fleet of kits mission-capable through ongoing preventive maintenance and rapid hot-swap, and supports training events on the unit's calendar. The role is hands-on and customer-facing: most days are spent in the motor pool with Soldiers, on vehicles, and in the training environment, with reachback to OneArc engineering for depot repair and software support.

What You'll Do

• Vehicle Hardware Integration: Install, integrate, and check out ECT kits on M2A3/4 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, including mission system connections, and validate kit performance jointly with the Government.


• Software & Simulation Operations: Operate and maintain the VBS4-based training environment and the BCOFT application; keep software builds, terrain, and training content current.


• Soldier Training & Support: Deliver new equipment training (NET) to vehicle crews, master gunners, and unit training staff; develop and maintain quick reference guides.


• Field Support & Maintenance: Provide on-site duty-day support for embedded training across both platoons, troubleshooting hardware and software faults at the vehicle.


• Sustainment & Hot-Swap: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance across the kit set, execute hot-swap replacement of degraded kits within one duty day, and coordinate depot-level repairs.


• Surge & Event Support: Provide surge support for gunnery densities, situational training exercises, and other events on the supported unit's training calendar.


• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the daily technical interface with the unit and the Contracting Officer's Representative; coordinate schedules, vehicle access, and event support.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience fielding, integrating, or maintaining military vehicle electronics, mission systems, or training and simulation systems (or equivalent military experience).


• Working knowledge of Windows-based systems, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting to the cable, connector, and component level.


• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation and follow installation and safety procedures in a motor pool environment.


• Strong customer-facing communication skills; comfortable instructing Soldiers and briefing unit leadership.


• Ability to work independently at a customer site with remote reachback support.


• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain and maintain military installation access, and a valid driver's license.


• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and to climb on and work inside combat vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military service, especially Bradley crew, master gunner, or Bradley maintainer experience.


• Experience with VBS4, Bohemia Interactive Simulations products, or conduct-of-fire trainers.


• Experience supporting fielded systems with Army operational units and familiarity with Army training management and gunnery tables.


• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.


• Active DoD SECRET clearance.

Work Environment

• Motor pool, vehicle, and field environments with exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and moving vehicles.


• Extended hours during gunnery densities, surge events, and installation windows, including occasional evenings and weekends.
