Position Summary:
The Missions Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for Cove Church Ministries’ local and global missions efforts. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with mission organizations, coordinating mission trip opportunities, and ensuring effective stewardship of resources allocated to missions. This position supports the mission of Cove Church Ministries by creating opportunities for the congregation to engage in serving, outreach, and global ministry initiatives that reflect the values of discovering hope, developing faith, and demonstrating love.
Requirements:
Doctrinal/Theological:
Must agree with Cove Church Ministries’ doctrinal standards as found in the Faith and Practice.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required
2+ years of experience in mission related field or social work is preferred
Doctrinal/Theological:
Must agree with the doctrinal standards of Cove Church.
Must demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Vision/Leadership:
Ability to organize and execute missions’ initiatives and partnerships.
Demonstrates strong planning, coordination, and follow-through.
Supports the vision of discipleship through service and outreach.
Relational:
Builds strong relationships with mission partners, volunteers, and staff.
Communicates clearly and effectively with participants and leadership.
Works well across ministries and teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Missions Strategy & Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with mission partners aligned with Cove Church’s mission and values.
Coordinate communication and ongoing engagement with supported organizations.
Provide recommendations for new partnerships and ongoing support.
Mission Trip Coordination
Plan, organize, and execute mission trip opportunities for the congregation.
Coordinate logistics including scheduling, communication, registration, and preparation of participants.
Ensure participants are informed, equipped, and supported throughout the process.
Budget & Resource Stewardship
Manage the missions budget including allocation of funds to mission partners.
Track expenses and ensure responsible stewardship of financial resources.
Provide updates and recommendations related to missions funding and support.
Congregational Engagement
Create opportunities for the congregation to engage in missions through trips, partnerships, and service initiatives.
Communicate mission’s opportunities clearly and consistently.
Help raise awareness of mission’s impact within the church.
