Mitigation Manager / Restoration Supervisor
Position Summary
At Unlimited Restoration, we partner with commercial property owners, facility managers, and insurance professionals to restore businesses when disaster strikes. We are seeking an experienced & highly motivated Mitigation Manager / Restoration Supervisor to lead commercial restoration projects from emergency response through project completion.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong technical expertise, estimating proficiency, and the ability to lead field personnel while maintaining exceptional customer service and financial performance.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing accurate estimates, managing crews, communicating with adjusters and project stakeholders, and stepping into the field to oversee complex commercial losses. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting client and carrier expectations. This position primarily serves commercial and industrial clients throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, with support for other company locations as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Management
- Manage mitigation projects from initial loss through completion.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to ensure efficient project execution.
- Lead and supervise 3-5 restoration technicians while maintaining production schedules and quality standards.
- Follow the job area security conditions and procedural protocols.
- On-call for emergency services.
- Perform site inspections and develop project scopes.
- Monitor project budgets, productivity, documentation, and profitability.
- Conduct daily jobsite visits to ensure safety, quality, and operational compliance.
- Serve as the field supervisor on large commercial and catastrophic losses as required.
- Assist Operations Managers during surge events, catastrophe response, and large-loss mobilizations.
Estimating & Documentation
- Prepare accurate mitigation estimates using Xactimate and Symbility.
- Develop and manage Time & Material (T&M) estimates and billing packages for commercial projects.
- Ensure complete documentation including moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, equipment logs, daily reports, and photo documentation.
- Review estimates for accuracy, scope compliance, and profitability.
- Submit estimates within required carrier and TPA timelines.
- Support supplements, change orders, and estimate revisions.
TPA & Insurance Programs
- Manage assignments received through Third-Party Administrator (TPA) programs.
- Ensure compliance with carrier service level agreements (SLAs), documentation standards, and communication requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with adjusters, consultants, property managers, and commercial clients.
- Participate in file reviews and quality audits.
Leadership
- Direct daily activities of restoration technicians and subcontractors.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to field personnel.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct daily planning meetings and coordinate labor deployment.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of restoration industry experience.
- Experience leading mitigation crews and supervising restoration projects.
- Proficient in Xactimate.and Symbility/Cotality.
- Working knowledge of Symbility.
- Strong understanding of Time & Material (T&M) estimating and billing.
- Experience managing residential and commercial mitigation losses.
- Knowledge of water, fire, mold, and emergency mitigation procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred
- IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Experience with Encircle, DASH, PSA, or similar restoration management software.
- Commercial large-loss experience.
- Catastrophe response experience.
