Monitor Tech

Mission Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Monitor Tech to join our team in Panorama City, CA. The Monitor Tech plays a vital role in patient care by continuously observing and interpreting cardiac monitor data to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient status to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor cardiac and respiratory rhythms for multiple patients using telemetry equipment.


• Identify and communicate any changes or abnormalities in patient status promptly to the nursing and medical staff.


• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of monitoring activities and incidents.


• Set up and maintain telemetry equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety.


• Assist with routine ECGs and other diagnostic procedures as needed.


• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical training or certification preferred.


• Experience with cardiac monitoring or telemetry technology is highly desirable.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize arrhythmias and other cardiac events.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• Basic computer skills for documentation and monitoring software usage.


• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced clinical environment.
