Montessori Early Childhood Assistant Guide – Nido or Toddler (Full-Time)

Supports a Montessori Lead Guide in one of our Early Childhood learning environments:

• Nido/Infant: 6 weeks to 18 months


• Toddler: 18 months to 36 months

The Assistant Guide helps establish and maintain a peaceful, nurturing, and engaging Montessori environment while supporting the physical, social, emotional, and developmental needs of our youngest children.

We are seeking an instructional assistant to support the Montessori Lead with establishing and maintaining a peaceful Montessori environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Foster a peaceful multi-age classroom environment that promotes the students' physical, social, and emotional development.


• Support the “spark” in the classroom.


• Complete school-sponsored AMS Montessori training.
  


• Implement Montessori philosophy and curriculum in support of Montessori Leads.


• Support the delivery of lessons that accommodate for differences in student learning styles.


• Introduce resources, including technology, at the direction of Montessori lead.


• Assist Montessori Lead guide in maintaining an engaging, inviting, and respectful classroom.


• Practice classroom management procedures and standards for desired student behavior.


• Establish and maintain open communications with Montessori Leads.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
  


• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma


• Prefer someone pursuing undergraduate degree

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit on the floor to assist with lessons.


• Able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Compensation

Pay range of $14.40 to $17.60 per hour
