Job Description - Network Admin Intermediate

Highlights:



  • Our Team is very motivated in the success of the mission, also the contract is very flexible with hours.

  • The Team is separated into 7 different tasks, and each task has its part in order to guarantee the success of the mission/warfighter.

  • You will be reviewing the different technologies and understanding our environment and the impact across the globe.

  • Customer support is a huge factor for our client and to understand the requests from around the world.

  • You will become well versed in Cisco iOS-XE, NX-OS, Firepower, CUMC, Unity, along with other technologies.     


Typical Day: The Intermediate Network Administrator will require a deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance, and security of the network infrastructure to include documentation in accordance with DoD policies in Clarksburg, WV.


Tasks:



  • Manage network performance and proactively maintain security protocols.

  • Configure, install, and maintain Layer 2/3 switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunication systems.

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across a variety of devices and configurations.

  • Implement and enforce information security procedures in compliance with organizational policies.

  • Configure routing protocols including OSPF and BGP and manage both IPv4/IPv6 based networks.

  • Set up and manage IPSec tunnels, 802.1x, and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments.

  • Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and performance standards.

  • Train users in network operations and best practices


Required Qualifications:   


Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience. (Preferred not required)


​Experience: Four (4) Years. (Required)



  • Experience in designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining core network infrastructure solutions.

  • Extensive working knowledge of routing protocols (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), multicast), VoIP solutions, and cabling services.

  • Interfaces with other team members to promote communications, status, progress, and problem-solving to aid in meeting goals.


**** Certifications IAT Level II. ****



  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570 IAT-II) compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+).

  • Must be a US Citizen. 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.

  • IAT-II baseline certification requirements IAW DOD 8570.01-M - (Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP).

  • Computing Environment (CE) Certifications to be determined by government upon final job assignment.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Additional network certifications.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

  • An MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with 2+ additional years of experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience with Remedy ticketing system.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Accurate and precise attention to detail. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills. 

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

  • Must be willing to provide after-hours support in emergency situations.

  • Extensive working knowledge Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation.


Physical Requirements:



  • Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.


Shift Information:       



  • Day shift

  • Contract has the flexibility for employees to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days at the Project Manager’s discretion.


Clearance:       Current US Secret clearance


Location:         Clarksburg, WV
