Network & Systems Performance Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Network & Systems Performance Engineer to serve as our SolarWinds subject matter expert. You will manage our enterprise monitoring platform, secure our server infrastructure (Windows/Linux), and automate workflows to ensure peak service availability.

This hybrid role is based in the North Dallas suburbs.  Regular in-office presence is required for success in this role.   This is a W2 direct-hire position, and does not offer relocation or work permit/visa support.  NO contractors and no 100% remote or WFH offered,

What You'll Do

• Monitoring Design: Build dashboards and alerts for networks, databases, and cloud services while reducing false positives.


• Systems Engineering: Support the full lifecycle of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS).


• Automation: Use PowerShell, Python, and SQL to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.


• Incident Response: Partner with cross-functional teams on root-cause analysis and disaster recovery.


• SolarWinds experience: Administer, tune, and upgrade the Orion platform and modules (NPM, SAM, NCM).

What You Bring

• 2+ years of enterprise SolarWinds administration experience.


• Proven background in Windows Server and Linux support.


• Knowledge of infrastructure protocols (SNMP, WMI) and REST APIs.


• Relevant certifications (SCP, Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware) are a plus.


• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance.
