This is a full-time, day-shift Neurodiagnostic Technologist role. This position includes rotating on-call responsibilities for weekends, overnights, and holidays. Primary duties include routine EEG placements and some ambulatory services at North Hospital, as well as covering a 2-bed epilepsy monitoring unit and EMGs in the clinic, with occasional floating to Fishers for coverage. Job Description:

Prepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry, and EMU settings according to departmental guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of typical neurophysiological patterns. Works with a moderate degree of supervision when recording and monitoring patient data.  Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary.  Maintains quality recordings and skilled in troubleshooting techniques.  

  • High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Student or graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program is preferred.
  • Required to be on an eligible pathway for R.EEG T. or EP credentialing, as recognized by ABRET, at the time of hire.
  • Required to obtain R.EEG T. or EP credential within 24 months of hire based on department requirements.
  • Requires current BLS certification.
  • May require ability to meet all EEG competencies based on department requirements.
  • Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions in order to properly and effectively administer Neurophysiological monitoring and testing.
