Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity with BayCare Medical Group at St. Joseph's Hospi

BayCare Medical Group (BMG) is a physician-led medical group seeking three Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Night Floats to join our well-established Adult & Pediatric Neurosurgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a 465-bed Level II trauma hospital located in beautiful Tampa, Florida.

The current team consists of four experienced Board-Certified Neurosurgeons who specialize in treating all surgical cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve pathology and supported by three advanced practice providers. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a rapidly growing neurosurgery practice across the greater Tampa Bay region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty.

Key responsibilities:

• Night float position with a primary focus on inpatient neurosurgery coverage.
• Provide overnight support for neurosurgical patients, including new consults, admissions, and cross-coverage.
• Collaborate closely with on-call neurosurgeons to ensure timely evaluation and management of acute patient needs.
• Assist with inpatient care coordination and continuity of care during transitions between day and night teams.
• Participate in weekend coverage as part of the overall night float rotation.
• Function as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care

• The candidate must have experience in an acute care setting.
• Required experience in neurosurgery.
• Acute Care certification is required.
• DEA required or ability to obtain.
• Passion for learning and strong interest in working in neurosurgery.
• Board certified and ability to obtain a Florida license.
