What’s the Role

As our New Hire Liaison, you will be the go-to person for every new team member during their first 90 days, partnering with HR to lead orientation, facility tours, safety and onboarding training, and new hire paperwork. You will spend your days on the production floor checking in with new hires, gathering their feedback, and bringing concerns to management so issues are resolved quickly. This role matters because a strong start builds confidence, belonging, and retention, helping F&S remain a Great Place to Work for everyone. You will also cover the Front Desk and support Production Assistant tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is approachable, patient, and highly organized, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and leads by example in living our FRESH values.

What You’ll Own

• Serve as the main point of contact for new hires throughout their first 90 days, answering questions and resolving early challenges
• Lead new hire orientation with HR, including facility tours and an overview of company policies, benefits, and expectations
• Deliver and track onboarding and required HR trainings, and serve as Safety Champion for all new hires
• Coordinate on-the-job training with assigned trainers, coach line trainers on OJT methods, and ensure training checklists are completed
• Visit each department daily to check in with new hires, confirm they are adapting, and escalate concerns to management
• Partner with HR to complete new hire paperwork accurately and on time, and maintain employee records in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
• Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day new hire surveys, following up directly to address concerns and using results to improve onboarding and retention
• Track attendance, retention, and referral program results, and report regularly to HR and department leaders

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate in the main language(s) of our employees
• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Patient, empathetic approach to guiding new hires and presenting ideas, issues, and questions in a positive and professional manner
• Working knowledge of onboarding processes, and familiarity with (or ability to quickly learn) F&S production departments and jobs
• Commitment to FRESH values, leading by example and keeping every interaction professional and collaborative

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances. 
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
• Ability to work in hot and cold areas and stand for long periods of time
