New Installation Foreman – Fire Sprinkler Systems

Salary: $40,000 — Negotiable based on experience
Position Summary
The New Installation Foreman is responsible for leading the field installation of fire sprinkler systems on assigned new construction projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, the Foreman oversees the field crew, coordinates daily work, maintains safety and quality standards, and ensures projects stay on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise sprinkler fitters, apprentices, and field personnel.
Plan and coordinate daily installation activities.
Read and follow approved sprinkler drawings, plans, and specifications.
Ensure installations meet company standards and applicable codes.
Monitor job progress, productivity, workmanship, and project schedule.
Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding progress, manpower, materials, delays, and field issues.
Coordinate field activities with general contractors and other trades.
Identify drawing conflicts, changes, and additional work and report them to the Project Manager.
Plan material and equipment needs in advance to avoid delays.
Maintain accountability for company tools, equipment, and materials.
Enforce company and jobsite safety requirements.
Prepare work for testing and inspections and complete punch-list items.
Train and mentor apprentices and less-experienced employees.
Maintain a professional, organized, and productive jobsite.
Qualifications
4–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation and new construction projects
Previous foreman or lead fitter experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret sprinkler drawings and construction plans.
Knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and applicable NFPA standards.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage crews and maintain project schedules.
Valid driver's license and required licenses/certifications
Performance Expectations
The Foreman is expected to lead by example, plan ahead, maintain a safe and productive crew, deliver quality work, and communicate with the Project Manager before issues affect the project.
The Foreman represents the company in the field and is expected to maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, inspectors, other trades, and employees.
