CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster

Summary

Seeking an experienced CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of California Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusters.


2. Monitor individual and team performance, productivity, quality, and compliance with company standards.


3. Conduct file reviews and provide technical guidance on complex claims handling.


4. Assist adjusters with coverage analysis, compensability decisions, settlement authority, litigation strategy, and reserve accuracy.


5. Ensure timely and accurate claim investigations, benefit administration, and claim resolution.


6. Maintain compliance with California Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and client service expectations.


7. Coach team members through performance management, training, and professional development initiatives.


8. Collaborate with management on staffing, workflow management, and operational improvements.


9. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, defense counsel, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.


10. Participate in client meetings and provide claims updates as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of California Workers' Compensation claims handling experience.


• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience overseeing Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusters.


• Active California Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) Certificate required.


• Must reside in California.


• Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation statutes and regulations.


• Experience handling complex and litigated Workers' Compensation claims.


• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.


• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Compensation Package

• Competitive salary range of $110K – $120K (depending on experience)
