Client Manager (Account Manager)


Job Summary


Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits and excellent organizational skills. This position offers a clear career progression path, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.


Compensation Package



  • Salary Range: $60,000–$95,000 (up to $110,000 for exceptional candidates)

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package

  • Equipment Provided: Laptop

  • Training: Individualized training plan, including virtual application training and in-office training for daily responsibilities


Responsibilities



  • Manage a portfolio of 20 clients, representing approximately $1.4 million in annual revenue

  • Handle A-to-Z account management, including presenting to clients, open enrollment, and marketing

  • Collaborate with an assistant and Senior Client Manager to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Work on both new and renewal business, including quoting and marketing to carriers

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction

  • Participate in team collaboration, client meetings, and internal training sessions

  • Prepare for eventual progression to a Senior Client Manager role, managing a book of business independently


Qualifications/Requirements



  • Licenses/Designations: Life & Health (L&H) license required

  • Experience: 5–10 years preferred; candidates with 3–4 years of relevant experience will be considered if they meet all requirements

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied Epic and Excel (candidates will be asked to rate their Excel skills and provide examples of usage)

  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to process information effectively, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a client-focused mindset

  • Work Style: Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with three in-office days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) and occasional flexibility for remote work

  • Career Goals: Willingness to remain in the Client Manager role for 2–3 years before advancing to a Senior Client Manager position
