$95,000 - $115,000 + Benefits

An Intermediate Technical Designer is required for a San Francisco-based architecture and interior design role focused on turning creative design concepts into coordinated, code-compliant and buildable interior solutions.

This is a strong opportunity for a technical design professional with commercial interiors or workplace project experience, strong Revit capability and a proven understanding of Construction Documents, detailing, consultant coordination, permitting and construction administration.

The Intermediate Technical Designer / Technical Designer / Interior Designer Role:

• Develop and coordinate Construction Documents across plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, power and signal plans and technical details


• Work with Project Designers to translate design intent into coordinated, buildable solutions


• Research and recommend materials, finishes, fixtures, equipment, hardware and other interior components


• Coordinate technical systems including A/V, lighting, power, data, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and acoustics


• Participate in QA/QC reviews to support drawing quality, Revit standards and cross-discipline coordination


• Carry out field surveys, review existing conditions and support code-compliance checks


• Coordinate with internal teams, product representatives, fabricators, consultants and general contractors


• Support agency approvals, permitting and construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits and field observation reports

Intermediate Technical Designer / Technical Designer / Interior Designer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline


• 4-8 years of professional experience across interior design and/or architectural projects


• Experience developing coordinated Construction Documents for commercial interior environments


• Strong Autodesk Revit and Enscape skills


• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign


• Working knowledge of building systems, materials, detailing, specifications and constructability


• Knowledge of state and local building and fire codes related to interior environments, including accessibility


• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Desirable Experience:

• Workplace or commercial interiors project experience


• Experience working in a Citrix environment


• Experience using Mural or similar collaboration platforms


• Office 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills


• Hand sketching or conceptual drawing ability


• Hands-on LEED, WELL or wider sustainable design project experience


• Working toward professional licensure or accreditation
