Senior Cyber Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Claims Specialist to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a caseload of complex casualty claims arising from cyber events, including third-party bodily injury, property damage, and related liability exposures. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate claim handling, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional service to the clients.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000+ (depending on experience)


• Annual Bonus: Up to 5%

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of casualty claims arising from cyber events, including coverage analysis, liability assessment, and damages evaluation.


• Interpret and apply policy language to determine coverage, exposures, and appropriate claim strategies.


• Oversee claims through their lifecycle, including reserving, negotiation, and resolution within assigned authority.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, legal, and risk engineering teams.


• Retain and manage external defense counsel, forensic experts, and other vendors as needed.


• Evaluate litigation exposure and develop resolution strategies.


• Ensure accurate and timely claim documentation, reserving, and system updates.


• Monitor claim trends and emerging cyber casualty exposures, providing insights to management.


• Participate in broker and client claim discussions as appropriate.


• Ensure compliance with internal claims handling standards, regulatory requirements, and audit guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 4 years handling casualty claims, cyber liability claims, or complex third-party liability claims within commercial P&C.
  
  
  • Experience with cyber-triggered casualty losses is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of coverage analysis, liability evaluation, and claims resolution practices.
  
  
  • Ability to independently manage a full caseload of complex claims.
  
  
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  
  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  
  
  • Ability to evaluate complex information from multiple sources and apply sound judgment.

  • Professional designations such as AIC, CPCU, or similar claims-focused certifications.
