Senior Architect / Project Architect

New York, NY

$100,000 to $125,000 + Benefits

A full-time opportunity is available with an architecture and interior design practice in New York. This role is suited to an experienced architect with strong base building experience, technical delivery capability and the confidence to lead projects from early design through construction.

You will work across meaningful architecture projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and internal design teams while supporting the development of junior team members. This is a strong opportunity for an architect who enjoys technical detail, project ownership and work that contributes to civic, community and commercial environments.

The Role:

• Lead and deliver base building projects from concept through construction.


• Produce, review and coordinate technical drawing packages and construction documentation.


• Coordinate with structural, MEP and specialist consultants.


• Work closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


• Ensure projects comply with US building codes, regulations and technical standards.


• Attend site visits and support construction coordination.


• Mentor junior architects and contribute to a collaborative project team.


• Deliver work to high standards of quality, program and technical accuracy.

Requirements:

• 8 to 10 years of architectural experience.


• Strong base building experience is essential.


• Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience working with Revit and BIM 360.


• US Architectural License or actively working towards licensure.


• Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills.


• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.


• Excellent communication and project coordination ability.


• Government project experience is highly desirable.


• Retail project experience is advantageous.
