Job Description - NICU - Assistant Nurse Manager

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager, NICU to support a highly specialized Level III NICU team. This is an on -site leadership role for a nurse leader who is ready to apply their bedside experience, clinical judgment, and leadership skills to a unit caring for some of the region's most vulnerable newborns.

This role is ideal for a NICU RN leader who wants to help coordinate patient care, support staff development, improve performance, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment where nurses can grow in their careers. The Assistant Nurse Manager is part of the unit leadership team and is scheduled for 8 -hour shifts.

  • Support daily operations and leadership within a Level III NICU environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree of Science in Nursing required
  • Current and valid California Registered Nurse license required
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association required
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer into the position
  • NICU nursing experience and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to work on site in Fresno, California
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and staff development skills
