Job Overview

YES USA is hiring a dependable and responsible Night Security Counselor for our residential summer program at the University of Miami. This position is responsible for overnight supervision of residential students ages 12–20 and helping maintain a safe, quiet, and structured dormitory environment during late -night hours.

Candidates must live within commuting distance of the University of Miami and be available for the full program dates.

Schedule

• ASAP – August 2, 2026
  
• 11:00 PM – 4:00 AM
  
• 7 days per week
  
• 35 hours per week
  

Pay

• $16.00 per hour
  
• Hourly, non -exempt
  

Responsibilities

• Monitor residence hall areas during overnight hours
  
• Enforce quiet hours and residential policies
  
• Conduct routine walkthroughs of assigned dormitory areas
  
• Ensure students remain in authorized residential areas after curfew
  
• Respond appropriately to student concerns or emergencies
  
• Maintain communication with camp leadership as needed
  
• Document overnight incidents when required
  
• Help maintain a safe and respectful residential environment
  

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  
• Must live within commuting distance of Coral Gables, Florida
  
• Strong reliability and punctuality required
  
• Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
  
• Prior experience working with youth, camps, schools, residential life, hospitality, security, or customer service preferred
  
• Strong communication and judgment skills
  
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
