As our Nocturnist APP Provider, you will join a physician-centric organization dedicated to delivering top-quality, accessible inpatient care within the community. In your practice, you will engage in a flexible work schedule, typically involving dedicated inpatient shifts (e.g., 7-on/7-off or similar models). You will provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, diagnostic workups, and discharge planning. This role demands strong clinical acumen for managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions and close collaboration with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician committed to upholding the highest standards of medical ethics and customary practice. You will possess exceptional clinical skills in inpatient medicine and a passion for providing compassionate, high-value care to acutely ill patients.
- Be responsible for comprehensive patient care to assure that the health care needs of patients are being met, including attendance at Interdisciplinary or nursing rounds and daily communication with the team caring for the patient.
- Renders quality medical services according to qualifications as an internal medicine or family practice physician with appropriate referrals, follow-up and hospitalization.
- The Hospitalist supports hospital medical staff and other area physicians utilizing the Hospitalist service by overseeing the inpatient experience, including providing follow-up care for patients in the outpatient realm.
- Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient, family and hospital staff.
- The Hospitalist documents information completely for patient care and billing purposes, and assists in the review of work flow, office practices and objectives; and teaches medical students, residents and others in graduate health education programs.
