This is a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity in a pediatric setting. The day-shift schedule runs Monday through Friday, varying between 6:30 AM–3:00 PM and 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and includes an occasional on-call rotation for holidays and every third week (Mon-Sun). Job Description:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process. Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
