Position: NURSE MANAGER / EMERGENCY DEPT / RN\n\nDept: Emergency Medicine Admin\n\nShift: Full-time; 80 hours per pay period; variable hours\n\nFacility: Miami Valley Hospital North (MVHN)\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe Nurse Manager has responsibilities for a functional area of patient services in the system\u2019s second largest Emergency Department. The Nurse Manager will have a matrix relationship with the Imaging Manager to ensure clinical quality and nursing practice standards for imaging nurses, who report directly to the Imaging Manager. This collaboration will achieve strategic objectives and maintain the overall health of a specific community segment.\n\nScope/Span of Control:\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Supervises FTEs: Yes\n\n\u00b7 Number of FTEs Supervised: 72\n\n\u00b7 Exercises full management authority including performance reviews, discipline, termination and personnel hiring: Yes\n\nFiscal Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Annual Revenue in Dollars: $157,517,804\n\n\u00b7 Annual Expense in Dollars: $9,816,273\n\n\u00b7 Financial Accountability: Manages operating budget, Approves expenditures, Monitors expenditures, Monitors expenditures\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation:\n\n\u00b7 Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Nursing\n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration:\n\n\u00b7 Valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Ohio\n\n\u00b7 CPR certification\n\n\u00b7 BLS required\n\n\u00b7 ACLS-before end of orientation, PALS within 1 year\n\n\u00b7 TNCC preferred\n\n\u00b7 Must be able to pass EKKG rhythms test. Annual certification in NIHSS and By-Yearly NVCI training.\n\nExperience:\n\n\u00b7 Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3-5 years of job-related experience\n\n\u00b7 Prior job title or occupational experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting required.\n
