The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within a specific unit and collaborates with other members of the health care team.  She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by ancillary staff.  She/he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.   

EDUCATION

Required:  

• Associate Degree required, preferred 

Preferred:  

• BSN preferred

EXPERIENCE  

Required:  

• 3 yrs hospital nursing experience
•  

LICENSURE 

• REGISTERED NURSE 

CERTIFICATIONS  

• BLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) PALS
• ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)                                                                                                                                                                           
• NIH STROKE (within 60 days of hire/transfer effective date)                   
• EKG Testing  TNCC
