Nurse Practitioner

Inova is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient services and facilities, primary and specialty care practices, and health and wellness initiatives.

Inova Simplicity Health Clinics, with locations opening in Sterling, Alexandria and Annandale, is seeking a full-time Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for each of its three locations. The Clinics will be open 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
The NP or PA is responsible for the provision of healthcare services to patients receiving care at a Simplicity Health clinic including: conducting health assessments, making differential diagnosis, prescribing/providing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management.
Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
The NP/PA is accountable for maintaining high quality health and wellness programs and fully meeting all regulatory and compliance standards.
The NP/PA is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in healthcare team activities, and utilize resources (human and material) appropriately.
The NP/PA reports to and collaborates with Simplicity Health Clinics Medical Director with oversight from Clinics Director.

3- 5 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN required
Demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills communication skills

Education/License/Certification Requirements:
Must have BSN and Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners.
RN Compact License (depending on State of primary residence) and a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
BLS certification must be current.
Current DEA License required.

Preferred Skills:
2 or more years of nurse practitioner experience strongly preferred.
Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred.
National Certification as an Adult/Family nurse practitioner experience strongly preferred.
