REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Temporary Pacemaker Removal
Chest Tube Removal
IABP Removal
Aline Placement
Proficient with EVH (Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active AZ license
Board: BC/BE in Physician Assistant
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage cardiothoracic surgical patients in CVICU and step-down units.
Perform daily assessments, rounds, and order management for post-operative CT surgery patients.
Provide surgical first assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, including opening and closing.
Perform bedside procedures: temporary pacemaker, chest tube, IABP removal, and arterial line placement.
Participate in weeknight beeper call coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
