Nurse, Primary School (EX)(2026-2027)-St. Philip Neri, Linthicum MD

Essential Functions

• Provide first aid, emergency care, and routine health assessments for students and staff.


• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.


• Monitor and manage student health plans, including those for allergies, asthma, diabetes, and other chronic conditions.


• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.


• Assist in the collection and management of health forms.


• Create and maintain documentation of all health encounters, assessments, and interventions.


• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with parents, emergency contacts, and healthcare providers.


• Educate students and staff on health, wellness, nutrition, and disease prevention.


• Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations.


• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to support student health needs.


• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans and emergency action plans.


• Monitor communicable diseases and assist with infection prevention and control procedures.

Position Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.


• Experience in a school nursing setting preferred.


• Knowledge of student health regulations and immunization requirements.


• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.


• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.


• Ability to assess medical situations quickly and competently and escalate concerns as needed.


• Employment is contingent upon satisfactory state and federal background checks, completion of VIRTUS training, and submission of all required employment documentation.

Pay Range:  $52,000 - $62,400, Annualized ($25.00 - $30.00, Hourly)
