Job Description - Nurse PRN

Job Summary

Provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. Coordinate and oversee resident care, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident health status, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care and positive resident outcomes. Support residents, families, and staff through professional communication and clinical expertise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, oversee, and provide resident care services.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor resident conditions and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Manage medications, supplies, and nursing equipment.
  • Document resident care using electronic charting systems.
  • Communicate significant changes in resident conditions to appropriate healthcare providers and family members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain professional relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Follow nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Skills

  • Current RN or LPN license.
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of resident care and medication administration practices.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
