We like plants, people, and beautiful spaces. John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we’re as committed as we’ve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. Today we’re a team of a few hundred people, but our focus remains the same: working together to engage our community and share our passion for the beauty of the natural world. And we have fun doing it.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As the Nursery Yard Lead, you’ll report to our Nursery Yard Manager and help manage the daily tasks, projects, and processes that keep the Nursery Yard looking its best. You’ll be responsible for helping customers find the perfect plants, championing the importance of defined processes, and being the expert for our Store-side Tree Planting Process – all in line with our vision to be the most loved plant shop in the country.

YOUR IMPACT

o   Welcome customers and assist them in finding the plant or solution they need, actively contributing to our Store experience

o   Make yourself a go-to person and a champion of training, follow-up, and delegation of tasks for the whole Nursery Yard and your focus area

o   Champion the Nursery Yard Waitlist Process, using our waitlist software to manage wait times and to route and address customer needs

o   Actively manage the sub-contracted tree-planting process toward a fan-building customer experience

o   Assist customers with replacements and warranties – walking customers through our plant guarantee and replacement opportunities and following up to ensure each issue is fully addressed in the customer’s eyes
