Nursing Department Manager (RN) - Brentwood Springs

We’re looking for an experienced nursing leader who brings compassion, thoughtful leadership, and a genuine commitment to excellent patient care. As a Nursing Department Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a designated nursing department, support strong nursing practice, and help create an environment where patients and employees feel supported and valued.

Working closely with nurses, physicians, and other leaders, you’ll help guide daily operations while supporting quality, patient safety, evidence-based nursing practice, employee engagement, professional development, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the daily operations of a designated nursing department and provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff.


• Promote quality patient care, patient safety, positive patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction.


• Support nursing practice, staff competency, education, professional development, and continued growth.


• Foster a healthy work environment through communication, collaboration, employee engagement, coaching, mentoring, and feedback.


• Monitor quality indicators, patient satisfaction, department performance, and clinical outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.


• Lead quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practices, and action plans to improve care and services.


• Collaborate with physicians and other departments to address concerns, solve problems, manage change, and improve processes.


• Support hiring, orientation, staffing, continued competency, and 24-hour coverage, as applicable.


• Manage the department operating budget and promote effective and efficient use of resources.


• Ensure nursing practice follows professional, regulatory, governmental, and organizational standards, including applicable nursing standards and requirements.


• Maintain visibility with staff through rounding, communication, and opportunities for connection.


• Provide direct patient care, as appropriate, to maintain clinical expertise and competency.

 Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)


• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state


• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Health Care Provider certification within six months of hire


• Maintain competency and continuing education in the area of specialization and professional practice

Preferred 

• Five years of relevant experience in hospital clinical nursing


• One year of relevant experience in nursing management
