Miami Valley Community Action Partnership is seeking an organized, dependable, and customer-focused Office Assistant to join our Darke County team.
This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people while keeping an office organized and running smoothly. The Office Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for clients, community members, vendors, volunteers, and visitors while providing administrative and routine fiscal support to the Darke County office.
In this role, you will:
Welcome clients, visitors, vendors, and community members and provide professional customer service.
Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, take messages, and direct individuals to the appropriate staff or program.
Provide clients with information about MVCAP programs, services, applications, and appointments.
Receive and review client applications for completeness and route documentation to appropriate program staff.
Assist with general office duties, including data entry, filing, document preparation, mail distribution, and maintaining electronic and physical records.
Prepare and track purchase requests and organize invoices, receipts, credit card statements, and other fiscal documentation.
Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining necessary office inventory.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the County Director and other agency staff.
Assist with the Shared Harvest Food Box Program as needed, including registration, scheduling, and preparation for distribution.
Help maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.
Candidates should have:
A high school diploma or GED.
At least two years of experience in administrative support, office operations, customer service, or a related position.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including experience with email, word processing, data entry, and electronic records.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
A valid Ohio driver's license, dependable transportation, and the ability to meet agency insurability requirements.
An associate degree or relevant coursework in business, office administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
