Job Description - Office Generalist/Receptionist

CO-Energy is looking for a qualified individual to provide outstanding customer support at our Boise, ID branch.  



The Office Generalist/Receptionist is one of the front line, first contact representatives of the company.  They have regular and consistent opportunities to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations, both internal and external customers.



In 2026, CO-Energy will celebrate our 39th anniversary as a leading distributor of fuels, oils and lubricants to commercial customers throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The standard work schedule is Mon - Fri, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.



Duties/Responsibilities:




  • Greet clients, visitors, and customers providing excellent, friendly customer service;

  • Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond their knowledge, engages with the appropriate team member to find a resolution;

  • Process billing and invoicing of customer accounts;

  • Create and process sales orders and fuel transfers;

  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, customer account issues or comments;

  • Perform basic financial transactions and record keeping such as taking customer payments and preparing bank deposits;

  • Performs other related duties as assigned; 

  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items; 

  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks;

  • Performs basic filing and record keeping;


 


Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Excellent verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;

  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems;

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word);

  • Ability to operate basic office machines and technology such as personal computers, printers, copiers, telephones, credit card machines, etc. 



Education and Experience:




  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 

  • Two (2) or more years of customer service and/or front office clerical experience


 


Physical Requirements:




  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
