Position Overview

The Office HSE Coordinator [HSE Specialist 1] is responsible for delivering HSE management for offshore and onshore project and office environments, including regulatory compliance, incident prevention, audits, emergency response, and continuous improvement for offshore and onshore plant projects. This role independently performs discipline engineering, supports EPC execution from concept through detailed design, and contributes to safe, reliable, and cost-effective project outcomes.

The role supports a proactive HSE culture by integrating regulatory compliance, risk control, incident prevention, assurance, and workforce engagement into project and operational activities. It is expected to work closely with project teams, contractors, site personnel, and management to ensure that safety requirements are embedded into planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities rather than treated as stand-alone checks.

At this level, the role independently executes assigned activities, coordinates interfaces, and supports timely completion of deliverables while applying established procedures and professional judgment. The position is expected to contribute practical solutions, maintain document and data quality, and support continuous improvement through disciplined execution and active collaboration.

Key Responsibility

• Support implementation and administration of office HSE programs and compliance activities, including procedures, standards, inspections, ergonomic assessments, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.


• Coordinate emergency preparedness, employee engagement, and HSE training activities, including drills, emergency response teams, notification systems, campaigns, training records, communications, and participation tracking.


• Maintain certifications, qualifications, HSE records, data, and reporting, including trackers, performance data, dashboards, periodic reports, management presentations, and open-action monitoring.


• Support contractor, vendor, and Supply Chain HSE activities, including initial qualification reviews, compliance monitoring, documentation, deficiency tracking, improvement plans, and escalation of significant concerns.


• Coordinate local and global HSE initiatives and routine program execution, providing HSE guidance, supporting office activities and workplace changes, maintaining implementation trackers, and facilitating communication between HSE leadership, sites, offices, employees, and other stakeholders.


• Organize regular meetings for office entities, maintain meeting minutes, capture action items, and track corrective and preventive actions through closure.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.


• Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant HSE experience may be considered.


• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience in office, industrial, energy, EPC, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments.


• Experience supporting HSE programs, inspections, emergency preparedness, training coordination, corrective action tracking, and HSE reporting.


• Experience working with contractors, vendors, or multidisciplinary teams preferred.


• Experience supporting multiple locations or regional/global HSE programs is a plus.


• Working knowledge of applicable HSE regulations and management system principles, including OSHA and ISO 45001.


• Familiarity with ISO 14001 or other internationally recognized HSE frameworks preferred.


• Experience conducting routine inspections and assessments and supporting incident investigations and risk assessments.


• Understanding of corrective action management, HSE recordkeeping, contractor/vendor qualification, and basic HSE performance reporting.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.


• Experience with EHS management software or digital HSE platforms preferred.
