Job Description - Office Manager

 

 

Our client in Charlotte, NC is a global manufacturing and technology company serving the aerospace, automotive, and energy industries. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an Office Manager to help oversee daily office operations, support employees and management, and play a key role in establishing and maintaining a well-organized, efficient work environment.

 

The position reports to company leadership and will oversee day-to-day office operations, HR administration, employee support, and administrative activities across two company locations, including support for the launch of a new facility.

 

The ideal candidate is a level-headed, flexible, and self-motivated professional with a manufacturing or industrial background and experience in HR and office management. This person should be comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and working closely with employees and leadership.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the office and provide administrative support to company leadership and employees.

 

  • Coordinate office supplies, equipment, vendors, services, mail, visitors, and general office needs.

 

  • Support facility-related activities and help maintain an organized, professional, and productive work environment.

 

  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, travel, and other administrative activities as needed.

 

  • Maintain accurate company, employee, and administrative records.

 

  • Support recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, preparing new-hire paperwork, and coordinating onboarding.

 

  • Assist with employee records, benefits administration, payroll-related information, and employee questions.

 

  • Coordinate employee training, certifications, and required documentation to help keep records current.

 

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding office procedures, policies, and routine HR questions.

 

  • Work with management to support employee engagement, communication, and day-to-day employee needs.

 

  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other information for management.

 

  • Help improve administrative processes and identify ways to make office operations more efficient.

 

  • Support operations across multiple locations and travel between locations as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field is preferred but not required. 

  • 5+ years of experience in office management, business administration, or a similar role.

  • Experience supporting basic Human Resources functions such as onboarding, employee records, recruiting coordination, benefits, or training.

 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.

 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business systems.

 

  • Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required to support company operations and business needs.
