On- Call Caregiver

At Visiting Angels, we pride ourselves in creating rewarding work-life balancing positions for our caregivers while providing the best care for our clients. We strive to match our caregivers' skills and desired schedules with client requirements. We understand that life can be challenging at times and unexpected call outs may happen. At Visiting Angels we want to ensure that our clients never have to go without quality care. We are seeking to hire on-call caregivers who will be readily available to step in, in the event of a call off. We are looking to fill M-F 8am-4pm and E/O Saturday 6am-2pm and Saturday afternoon 2pm-10pm. 

We will be paying our on-call caregivers $48/on-call block, even if you don't get called in. That's up to $336/wk just for being on call! Please keep in mind that there is a chance that you may get called in and we need you to be ready and available to cover each day. You may be asking, "if I get called in, do I still get the $48.00?" The answer is YES! You will receive your hourly rate/hrs worked PLUS the additional $48.00. 

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with personal care


• Assist with meal preparation


• Assist with light housekeeping tasks


• Run errands, such as grocery shopping


• Provide medication reminders


• Caring Companionship


• Bathing/Showering


• Brief Changing


• Incontinence Care


• Pivot Transfers


• Gait Belt


• Hoyer


• Emptying Catheter

Qualifications

• Experience with caring for elderly (1 yr experience desired)


• Valid US Driver's License


• Clean driving record
