Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and customer-focused On-Call Mobile Beverage Truck Driver & Server (Floating Position) to support our mobile beverage truck operations on an as-needed basis.
This position serves as a floating team member who provides coverage during employee absences, last-minute call-outs, schedule gaps, special events, peak business periods, and other operational needs. The individual in this role must be comfortable working a variable schedule, accepting assignments at different event locations, and adapting quickly to changing business needs.
The Floating Mobile Beverage Truck Driver & Server is responsible for transporting and operating a mobile beverage truck at scheduled events, providing outstanding customer service, preparing and serving products, processing payments, maintaining accurate inventory and cash records, and keeping the vehicle clean, stocked, and organized.
This is a fun, fast-paced, and family-friendly work environment where team members interact with customers of all ages while representing the company in the community. The ideal candidate is reliable, responsive, safety-conscious, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide floating and on-call coverage for employee absences, last-minute call-outs, schedule gaps, special events, peak business periods, and unexpected staffing needs.
Respond to shift offers and scheduling communications in a timely and professional manner.
Report to the assigned shop or event location as scheduled.
Transport the beverage truck from the shop to scheduled event locations and ensure timely arrival, setup, and service.
Safely operate the company vehicle in accordance with traffic laws, company policies, and insurance requirements.
Load and transport all inventory, products, supplies, equipment, and ice needed for each event.
Inspect the vehicle and equipment before departure and promptly report any safety, maintenance, or operational concerns.
Complete vehicle setup, inventory counts, and cash preparation before events.
Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
Take customer orders accurately and answer basic questions about available products.
Prepare and serve products according to company quality, food-safety, and portion-control standards.
Process cash and electronic payments accurately.
Maintain control of assigned cash, inventory, equipment, and company property throughout the shift.
Provide prompt and courteous service in a fast-paced mobile environment.
Promote available products and help maximize sales opportunities during events.
Monitor inventory levels and keep products, supplies, and service areas stocked and ready for use.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck, equipment, service areas, and workspaces throughout each shift.
Drive the truck between event locations and return it to the shop as scheduled.
Complete end-of-event responsibilities, including inventory counts, cash reconciliation, event documentation, cleaning, and restocking requests.
Accurately document and report cash, inventory, vehicle, equipment, customer-service, or operational discrepancies.
Secure the vehicle, cash, inventory, equipment, and other company property according to company procedures.
Adapt to changing assignments, event schedules, customer volume, weather conditions, and operational priorities.
Assist with event setup, breakdown, cleaning, stocking, or other operational tasks as directed.
Follow all company safety, food-handling, sanitation, driving, cash-handling, and operational procedures.
Complete required on-the-job training and any additional training assigned by management.
Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs.
