On-Call Banquet Server

Essential Responsibilities

• 
  

  Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations according to event specifications.

  Provide prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to guests.

  
  


• 
  

  Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other food items as assigned.

  
  


• 
  

  Clear and reset tables throughout events while minimizing disruption to guests.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, service stations, and equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with banquet room breakdown and cleanup following events.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager, kitchen staff, and other team members.

  
  


• 
  

  Respond to guest requests and questions in a professional and helpful manner.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all hotel standards, food safety procedures, and responsible alcohol-service policies.

  
  


• 
  

  Handle china, glassware, silverware, and banquet equipment carefully.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 
  

  Minimum of 1 year of previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or food-service experience required.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous hotel banquet experience is preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong customer-service and communication skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  Ability to lift, carry, and move banquet supplies and equipment as required.

  Must be available to work a flexible, on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.

  Must comply with all applicable food safety and alcohol-service requirements.
