At Tree House North, we don’t just "provide services"—we provide hope. As a short-term crisis residential program in partnership with Orange County Health Care Authority, we are the safety net for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Our goal is simple but profound: stabilize, support, and help our members return to their lives without the need for inpatient hospitalization. 

As a Residential Counselor, you are the heartbeat of the program. You’ll work on the front lines of recovery, providing both one-on-one and group support. You are building the bridge that helps someone move from crisis to stability. 

This is an On-Call position, perfect for someone who values flexibility and variety.

Shifts Available:  On-Call | AM/PM/Overnight | Shifts and days vary as Needed

To provide the best coverage for our members, this position supports two locations: Tree House North in Anaheim and Tree House South in Mission Viejo. This dual-site model offers our on-call team greater shift variety and more opportunities to pick up hours.

Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $22.50. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.  The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.  Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. 

 What You Bring to the Table (Must Have) 

• High School graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent 


• At least one (1) year of direct service experience in a mental health setting 


• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.


• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.

Tree House North is a short-term crisis residential program, which works in collaboration with the Orange County Health Care Authority (OCHCA). It will assist members within Orange County who are experiencing acute mental health crisis, and need additional assistance in stabilizing their current level of functioning without resulting in the member being admitted to any Inpatient or higher level of care facility or program. The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that focuses on stabilization and recovery.
