Job Description - On-Campus Adjunct Faculty - Drawing

Position Summary

The art department at BYU–Idaho is seeking qualified candidates to fill several new on-campus adjunct positions. The primary responsibility of these positions will be to teach face-to-face foundations drawing classes on campus.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an art-related discipline.

  • Must be able to teach face-to-face classes on campus in Rexburg.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in observational drawing technique.

  • Must be conversant with basic drawing mediums such as graphite and charcoal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with the ability to teach figure drawing will receive special consideration

  • Candidates with the skills to help out in the painting area as well will receive special consideration.

Pay Rate

Dependent on education and experience.

  • PORTFOLIO: Submit a portfolio of 15-20 images. Portfolio can be submitted as a PDF or as a URL to your professional website in the other documents section.
