Job Summary: The Onsite Lead Medical Assistant under the guidance of the Coordinator, Manager and or Director will assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic and on-site hours. Will act as a liaison between the on-site coordinator/manager/director and the staff. This position is responsible for the training of new staff and yearly certification. Recognize ethical and legal responsibilities. Perform a variety of on-site clinical procedures and administrative duties. Supervisory duties in the absence of the direct supervisor and staff as assigned. Keeps supervisor apprised of early personnel issues.
Responsibilities:
Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients in an on-site setting and a PRIME clinic.
Provide backup support to the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant.
Assist with on-site scheduling, problem solving, patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase efficient and quality services.
Review charts, lab test results, and required forms for completeness and to assess follow-up as needed.
Prepares clients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG's, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.
Assist in injury care when at a PRIME clinic.
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records within our electronic system.
Oversees medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments and supplies are ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
Work collaboratively with the clinic coordinator/manager and staff on programs to improve client outcomes.
Must have the ability to take on-call on a rotating basis and provide services on-site and clinical after hours.
Assist with setting up and breaking down the on-site.
Will be required to drive and maintain on-site vehicles.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Assist with performance reviews
May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Attendance and punctuality is necessary
The ability to drive over 500 miles weekly when needed using your own vehicle
Must be able to work at various on-site locations and travel to out of state locations

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant Certification required
Minimum of five years of experience in a medical clinic
Knowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality
Excellence communication skills
Phlebotomy certification
Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 125 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting or at an on-site facility and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to carry, lift and small and large bulky parcels, packages and other items, to walk short and long distances, climb stairs and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
