The hiring range for these positions is $95,000 to $160,000, based on rank.

The University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We welcome candidates with an earned doctorate in social work or a related social or health science discipline who demonstrate:

We are particularly interested in scholars whose work focuses on:

• Practice or services research with low-income or underserved individuals and families
• Health and behavioral health disparities
• Child welfare, IPV, and trauma work
• Community-engaged and translational research that bridges research, practice, and policy
• Advanced clinical, intervention, and/or research methodology

A PhD in social work or similar fields plus an MSW with at least two years of practice experience is required for teaching in the MSW program. Senior candidates (Associate/Full Professor) should demonstrate a record of leadership, sustained extramural funding, and a commitment to mentoring junior faculty and fostering inclusive academic communities.
