QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be 21 years of age
Good people and customer service skills
Ability to accomplish assisngment to completion with minimal supervision
Must have ability to follow directions, both written and verbal
Ability to meet quotas set by supervisor
Valid New Mexico driver’s license with clean MVR
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure Citadel/Admin building is maintained (inside and out) for daily use and community events
Assist administration with basic office work, to include copying, scanning, and filing
Maintain equipment and supplies for the office and facility
Maintain gym recreation use on easy-to-read event calendar
Ensure gym and other rooms are ready for use, including appropriate setup
Ensure grass fields are maintained and ready for use at all times
Ensure vehicles assigned to Citadel/Administration are maintained (gas, clean, oil changes, repair needs advised)
Perform routine maintenance and cleanup on the premises
Assist in unloading of trucks, and distribute to the appropriate area
If a beneficiary is assigned, train and monitor them for their work therapy assignment
Work with Corps Officer on Christmas Bellringing effort, driving as needed
Ensure an attitude of “dignity and respect” as relates to the interpersonal relationships of all employees, beneficiaries and volunteers
Act as personal representative of The Salvation Army and treat all clients courteously
Meet or exceed work quotas as determined by supervisor
Keep immediate work area clean and safe
Ensure all accidents involving equipment, personal injury or property damage are reported to supervisor
Other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor as they relate to the position of Operations Aide
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
