Operations Manager

You will serve as the strategic bridge between engineering and production, driving operational excellence in a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment. This role is designed for a technically-minded leader who thrives on building scalable systems while maintaining a strong, hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor.

• Lead Daily Operations: Drive performance across safety, quality, and efficiency while managing production schedules and resource allocation.
  




• Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop and refine process routings, labor standards, and work instructions to ensure consistency and throughput.
  




• Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping, to eliminate waste.
  




• Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor KPIs related to utilization, delivery, and quality to drive data-based decision-making.
  




• Team Development: Coach and mentor production staff and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership.
  




• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Sales and Engineering to ensure manufacturing capabilities align with complex customer requirements.
