Dispatch import and export loads and cargo pick-ups, confirm cargo delivered to carrier or cosignee
Track import and export shipments and advise customer of potential schedule changes if applicable for the client
Prepare export documents, file AES and Bill of Lading Instructions, file AMS/ISF/ACI if applicable, process entries prior to vessel and customs cut-offs.
Ensure timely distribution of transport documents and billing of freight
Negotiate rates with carriers, utilize MAO rate management systems to quote via our service contracts and provide quotes to customers
Problem solve with the Branch Manager when situations arise that can or do negatively effect our clients and their customers
Communicate with all parties in a transaction in a clear, concise, professional manner
Above all, provide outstanding, uncompromising customer service
Requirements
Knowledge of US Customs Regulations regarding US Exports and basic knowledge of imports
Country Requirements competence
Letter of Credit knowledge and experience preferred
Good transportation background, FCL, LCL, rating, routing, documentation
Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Export experience minimum 2+ years
High school diploma, 2 or 4 year college degree beneficial
