Job Description - Operations Support Specialist Mailroom Inbound

Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE: 

This individual is responsible for sorting, scanning and proof of delivery of inbound mail.

COMPANY GENERAL POLICY& PROCEDURE:

  • Attendance: Is punctual and present. Will request time off in accordance with policy. Will document time worked and reasons for tardiness/absence or leaving early according to company policy.

The competence of the employee in performing his or her job duties will be demonstrated, maintained, and improved on an ongoing basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all daily inbound packages and mail.
  • Open and sort inbound mail by document type and client.
  • Create batch sheets for the sorted mail by document type and client.
  • Utilize organization's Scan Station to upload batch sheet barcodes to the server.
  • Maintain attention to detail at all times.
  • Troubleshoot of trial and error for the operation of production equipment.
  • Maintain documentation of the sorting batch as it flows through the sorting process.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain service level agreements and daily/hourly metrics.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Repetitive push, lift, or pull 50lb or less above and below eye level.
  • Bending or kneeling as needed.
  • Standing and/or sitting for two or more consecutive hours.

Requirements

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to recall repetitive information.
  • Time management and organization of priorities.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Language Ability: Proficient in the English Language
  • computer Skills/Equipment: Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet Software and Order Processing Software.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:

Computers, copy machines, telephone, fax machine and other equipment as necessary.
