The team leader is responsible for the coordination of inbound and outbound product movements within the distribution center. Ensure that client orders are shipped in a timely manner to meet client expectations. Monitor and document the daily volume of inbound and outbound in departmental records. Team leader works closely with his or her teammates to resolve client problems and reports as required on performance, issues and resolutions. Teammate will follow all Insight policies and procedures. Each person is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual and/or departmental metrics.\n\nAs a Team Lead you will:\n\n * Effectively utilize a variety of communication tools to ensure key issues are communicated to teammates and management. \n * Provides support in organizing and facilitating department or company meetings. \n * Assume the managers role during manager absence. \n * Proactively takes accountability for getting things done, driving tasks through to completion. \n * Maintain work flow and follow safety procedures and guidelines. \n * Assists in daily work flow to reduce or eliminate overtime.\n\n\n\nWhat we\u2019re looking for\n\n * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n * A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience. \n * Team Lead or Supervisory experience required.\n * Forklift experience required.\n * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees. \n * Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. \n * Ability to read, analyze, and interprets the most complex documents.
