Optician (Full-Time, Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Milwaukee Eye Care Associates, S.C. is seeking a highly motivated, friendly, and energetic Optician to join our patient-first team. What You’ll Do

• Guide patients in frame selection and lens options; present solutions with confidence and clarity
• Take accurate measurements, fit and adjust eyewear, and perform minor repairs
• Order frames, lenses, and contact lenses; track orders and ensure on-time delivery
• Teach contact lens insertion and removal and provide product care education
• Verify benefits and process orders with major vision insurance plans and Medicare
• Maintain merchandising standards and support inventory management
• Collaborate with doctors and the optical team to ensure an exceptional patient experience

What You Bring

• Optical sales experience with a service-driven mindset
• Working knowledge of lens technologies (materials, designs, coatings)
• Skill in frame styling, adjustments, and minor repairs
• Familiarity with major Vision Insurance Plans and Medicare workflows
• Professional appearance, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using computers/EMR/POS systems and learning new software
• ABO certification a plus; bilingual skills a plus

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (no evenings/weekends)
• Status: Full-time, non-exempt
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum five years' experience in an optical dispensary
• Prior sales experience preferred
• Ability to act independently and interact in a courteous and effective manner with physicians and the public
• Skill in written and verbal communication, problem-solving and decision making

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED
• ABO certification preferred
