OR Specialty Coordinators are responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the surgeons falling within their specialty and the rest of the OR staff. Specialty Coordinators preferably work a minimum of four days and 36 hours a week

Your exceptional skills and qualifications

• Coordinates with all surgeons within specialty to meet scheduling needs
• Serves as main resource for all other OR staff for surgeons and procedures within specialty
• Participates in the orientation of new staff
• Maintaining a good communication and cooperative relationship with internal and external customers (i.e. ISC employees and medical staff, CHI departments such as Purchasing and IS, vendors, manufacturers
• Other responsibilities as outlined in Role Summary
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree - In Nursing (Preferred)
• Other Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or in lieu of accredited schools listed above, three years of related professional nursing experience. (Required)
• Required CertIfications/Licensures\: (Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) )
• Preferred CertIfications/Licensures\: (Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR))
• One year experience in the OR is required
