The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Managing the OS&D clerks and overseeing the processes of the department
Assisting in research and follow-up when business levels require it
Clearly communicate processes and expectations for performance
Compiling and deliver performance reviews/evaluations; deliver corrective action when necessary
Monitoring daily and weekly employee productivity
Handling escalated issues when necessary
Working with terminal leadership to coordinate efforts to resolve OS&D related matters
Conducting daily/weekly conference calls as necessary to facilitate communicate amongst the team and the company and support the efforts to resolve issues timely
Providing feedback to leadership on OS&D related trends and issues
Providing a weekly report to leadership on department workload and performance
Compiling exception reporting data and maintain records for monitoring progress
Responding to root cause investigations and reports as necessary
Working directly with the Claims Department regarding freight ready for salvage
To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
Ability to interface and communicate with all Pyle personnel and Customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional phone etiquette with the ability to relay sensitive information to Customers regarding the condition and location of their freight
Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business and handle the workload
Strong computer skills
Attention to detail, follow through and organization
Leadership experience preferred
Dock operations experience preferred
Traveled required
